More killings prophesied

FIJIAN-style Armageddon, the New Testament's final battle between good and evil could have no fewer than 20,000 lives butchered in drenching blood baths, should Fiji continue to flout the Rule of Law.

The shocking revelation came in the wake of deposed Fijian Affairs minister Ratu Isireli Vuibau citing prophesies from Fiji-born American evangelist Jai Lal, with whom he had several meetings.

Ratu Isireli anticipates the indiscriminate slaughter could spiral upwards, relegating the November 2, 2000 military shoot-out at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks to a dress rehearsal status.

The apocalypse massacre and widespread atrocities against humanity will only occur, should Fiji sink to the depths of mayhem and civil anarchy.

Ratu Isireli was stating aloud the mind numbing prophesies of the man of God, who correctly predicted the May 19 coup d'etat and the unbridled atrocities inflicted against human rights in subsequent events.

Ratu Isireli forewarns the indiscriminate slaughter could resemble Armageddon, the final battle between the good and evil, considered to be and extremely destructive conflict, in the New Testament.

Ratu Isireli lamented the apocalyptic event would claim colossal loss of lives, and would be a national tragedy.

However, he clarified that it could be avoided should people allow common sense to prevail and kick out the law of the jungle.

"It'll be a sad day for Fiji but at the same time it's a cleansing process - only then people with warped ways of thinking will come to terms with their senses and witness the blood baths they have wilfully contributed to," he warned.

However, a bad omen seems to be hovering over Fiji. First, Interim Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase made a hypothetical but realistic statement in a full-page advertisement.

Qarase postulated what would happen should the Great Council of Chiefs (GCC) and the Interim Administration ignore the ruling of the Fiji Court of Appeal, should they lose the appeal to continue to rule.

What happen then?

Secondly, Nationalist Party general secretary Josaia Waqabaca has been agitating since the Justice Anthony Gates two rulings in favour of the Peoples Coalition Party. Waqabaca is not too happy with the rulings.

Thirdly, deposed deputy prime minister Adi Kuini Vuikaba Speed either is frustrated with Messrs Qarase and Waqabaca, or, has just simply thrown down the gauntlet threatening to instigate indigenous Fijians in a civil disobedience.

All three camps seem to be sabre-rattling. But whatever it is the writing is on the wall, and it wouldn't hurt to heed the American evangelist's prophesies.

Notably, the evangelist correctly predicted by the early release of the women Members of Parliament, the safe release for the remaining captives, the arrest of George Speight, and alerted Army chief Commodore Frank Bainimarama of the November 2 mutiny against him and several other prophesies.

The American evangelist also prophesied that the deposed Peoples Coalition Party would return to rule, this year.

Should the Armageddon prophesy be fulfilled then Fiji could face unprecedented bombings, looting, mass killings and sink to general civil anarchy from subversive radicals hell bent to ignore the Rule of Law and install an indigenous regime.

Nationalist Vanua Tako Lavo national secretary and Fiji Mine Workers Union general secretary Kavekini Navuso also made a similar statement that substantiates the evangelist's prophesies, at a separate time and place.

Navuso made his non-cryptic statement on National Youth Day, in Suva, last year.

But Navuso's story was spiked from the two dailies where it was submitted.

The journalist behind the article got fired from one of the newspaper where he worked full-time for "writing controversial stories" and "creating stories that breached national security".

Notwithstanding, the May 19 coup vindicated Navuso and the journalist.

The unionist confirmed that radicals and political dissidents from all different political stripes have approached him to supply dynamites from Emperor Gold Mines and "blow up" the Chaudhry-Cabinet in memory of the late Nationalist leader Sakeasi Bakewa Butadroka.

Navuso had said that it was meant to coincide with Parliament session and maximise its impact.

Navuso also claimed that well-known FAP and VLV dissidents had infiltrated the NVTLP to sow the seeds of dissent within the camp.

He had said then, "These dissidents are using Butadroka's firebrand nationalism as a vehicle to enhance their own agenda and creating disharmony among indigenous Fijians.

"The ultimate objective is to create a disenchanted scenario to force a national referendum for fresh elections or worse, an interim regime.

"Political dissidents from my own party are linked to radicals from the SVT camp, FAP and VLV. "But let me make it clear, the Nationalist Vanua Tako Lavo Party will have nothing to do with this criminal act.

"Nor will I allow them to incite members of my Fiji Mine Workers Union to be involved in sedition, treason or national subversion."

In hindsight, Navuso was correct in all his predictions, except he was unable to stop his executive members to participate in the coup.

The executives are Iliesa Duvuloco, Samu Konataci and Peceli Vuniwa who are now in remand at Nukulau Island awaiting treason related charges brought against them.

Navuso, a moderate, is the lone voice in the Nationalist wilderness seeking the return of the Rule of Law.

Though the two do not claim to be on par with Nostradamus, they have been on song with their predictions.
