Major Earthquake Hits Suva, Fiji
Bula to all!
In mid 2004 I had a dream that a major earthquake hit Suva city that
brought the city to it's knees. Two particular high rises that came
crashing to the ground were the Civic Towers and the Ratu Sukuna House which is in the
very heart of Suva. The devastation was so great.....I awoke from my dream
and began interceding for our nation that the Lord would have mercy and
protect Fiji from this major devastation....
The warnings in my spirit have gotten stronger since then and I have
continually prayed for God's hand of protection over every town and
city , every coastal and interior village. Then the asian quake and tsunami hit
on boxing day 2004. One of the biggest to hit many nations at one time.....
Soon after the much televised incident, I think towards the end of
January, I was just about to fall asleep one evening when like a movie screen
opened up before me and I saw the turquoise coloured ocean, churn before me, it
was like I could see under water and I saw a movement on the sea floor where
a massive bit of the sea floor just vanished into a black hole and the
ocean began to churn and bubble and a demagog of a wave just seemed to rise up
out of the ocean like a massive moving turqoise monster. All I saw was that it
was moving but I never saw it hit the land or anything. I immediately got up and
prayed. I thought it must have been from watching too much news coverage on the asian quake but I
didn't want to be too complacent with that . I consoled myself with the thought
that it could be a major revival that God wants to bring onto Fiji but
still, there was a check in my spirit until the newscast on TV1 last
week and this email sent by Eddie Suka of Sheraton resort.......could it be
that the Lord is bringing a warning to our nation ? Could this be a
confirmation of things still yet to come?
On this premise alone I send out an alarm to all those who love Fiji and this nation that the watchman set
themselves again on the towers of the city, that the prophets cry out and lament
and that the preachers preach repentance to those who still have not known
Jesus Christ and his saving grace. May the Intercessors arise and weep and cry
out in the midnight hours for our nation and our capital city Suva that the
Lord would protect those marked with His Spirit and the blood of his Son
and that the Lord should He so choose, have mercy and turn away the quake
and the tsunami to hit our nation!
It's now the time for God's people to Arise and Pray!
God Bless,
Iva Cakau

Seismologists have unveiled a three dimensional view of a Tsunami hitting Suva city, showing massive destruction.
In an awareness program they say there is a strong possiblity that there could be another earthquake soon - only more devastating than the quake of 1953.
The epicentre of the 1953 earthquake was recorded South West of Suva. The impact of the quake was felt in Levuka, Savusavu and Kadavu.
What many saw after the earthquake was this, a 4 meter wave, ploughing its way through the three main areas. What it left behind was a trail of destruction, from the harbor to this 40 meter crack along the Suva Wharf. Eight people died, five were from Kadavu.
Seismologist Lasarusa Vuetibau says there is a strong possibility that this could happen again.
But now the risks are high in the capital, given the rate of development and sedimentation in the harbor.
We are currently in the 17 to 25 years expectation period from the last earth quake in 1998.
Seismologists fear that if another earth quake strikes in Vanuatu, Tonga or the Southern end of Kadavu registering more than 6.5 on the richter scale, this could be the scenario.
Suva lies directly in the path of a possibleTsunami, the suva wharf will be the first to be hit, the second wave, according to experts, will be the strongest.
What experts have discovered, is that an earthquake with massive magnitude was felt in Suva centuries ago - its path of destruction still visible on the sea bed just outside the Suva reef.
At this stage, Seismologists can only advise people on what the country can expect, when an earthquake strikes.
Any quake measuring more than 6.5 on the Richter scale will cause damage and could be followed by a Tsunami.
